What is the purpose of the Shoe Box Ministry?
The purpose is to celebrate the life of a child and the Love of Jesus Christ with children in need.

What should I put in my Shoe Box?
A Bible is a good start.  Please see list for other suggestions and for what not to include. 

Do I have to use a shoe box?
No, you may use a similarly sized plastic storage container with a removable lid.

Can I wrap my Shoe Box?
Yes, but please remember to wrap the lid separately.

Where and when will my Shoe Box be delivered?
We will deliver the shoeboxes  on a monthly basis to specific children’s home in our area. 

How else can I help out with the Shoe Box Ministry?
We are always in need of volunteers, filled & empty shoeboxes and birthday wrapping paper.  Donations are also accepted to fill additional boxes.  Please drop off supplies to locations listed within and checks can be made out to TCOC (The Church of Corinth) noted (Shoe Box Ministry) in the memo of your check.

 Gift Ideas

TOYS
Cars, ball, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas; etch a sketch (small), rubber jacks, games, etc. (Remember that if you include toys that require batteries, include extra batteries).

SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Crayons, markers, writing pads, drawing pads, paper, pens, pencils, sharpeners,  erasers, etc.

OTHER
Bibles, coloring & picture books, puzzle books, puzzles, t-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, toy
jewelry (no necklaces), watches, any types of  hard candy, chocolate, (no gum), snacks, flash lights (with extra batteries), gift certificates, etc.

HYGIENE PRODUCTS
Body wash (no bars), lotions, shampoos, brushes & combs, toothpaste & toothbrushes, deodorant, etc.

A PERSONAL NOTE
In a separate envelope, you may include a note or birthday card to the child.  (Please do not include a return address).

ITEMS TO NOT INCLUDE
Used or damaged items, war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures, medications or vitamins, guns,  aerosol cans, breakable items (such as snow-globes or glass containers), (No spiral writing pads) etc.
