Safety and Security

We place a very high priority on the safety of every person attending church  An integral part of our greeter program, called H.U.G.S., is the security portion. We utilize both roving and stationary security at all our services. These men and women are volunteers who have received specialized training for their tasks.  If you ever witness or experience something that makes you feel uncomfortable during a service at TCOC, please don't hesitate to take it to any usher, any staff person, or the Welcome Center.  Every one of these persons has received training and will be glad to assist you.   Be assured that if it involves the safety and security of any person present, we are on your side.

S.T.O.P. Training - We have in place a child abuse prevention program designed especially for churches. At its heart is the S.T.O.P. (Screen, Train, Operate, Plan) program which has proved to be a very effective deterrent to child predators  Every volunteer who desires to work with children, youth, hospitality or security, must  fill out an application, complete the S.T.O.P. training session, and agree to a background check. This includes Vacation Bible School, our Mother's Day Out program, and every other TCOC-sponsored event where an adult is in contact with children. You can rest assured that protection of our precious children is a very high priority.
